- 6 ways to use baking soda to deodorize and clean around the house, from smelly fridges and shoes to scuffed walls and dull faucets
- Angle
- Six everyday baking soda uses with exact amounts, each tied to its source; the fridge hack leads with the surface-area catch
6 verified facts and sources
Baking soda reacts with butyric acid, a smelly acid, to form sodium butyrate, which has no smell because it is not volatile.

For fridge odors, baking soda helps only with a large available surface area, so spread it on a plate instead of leaving it in a partly opened box.
McGill University Office for Science and Society · 2017-10-30
To deodorize shoes, put 1/2 cup (about 120 ml) of baking soda in a cloth sachet and replace it monthly for best results.
ARM & HAMMER (manufacturer) · 2026-01-01
To wipe marks off walls, mix 1 teaspoon of baking soda with 1/4 cup (60 ml) of hot water, soak a sponge and scrub gently.

To clean window screens, dissolve 1 pound (about 450 g) of baking soda in a bucket of warm water and scrub the screens with a soft brush.
ARM & HAMMER (manufacturer) · 2026-01-01
To polish a faucet, blend 3/4 cup of baking soda with 1/4 cup of distilled water, apply the paste, let it sit 15 to 20 minutes, then wipe it off.

FAQ
Questions
How is this different from making Shorts with an AI agent myself?
Doing it yourself takes an agent subscription in the $20–30 a month range plus a model plan, time spent learning the tools, and managing usage limits. So Easy Shorts has no agent to subscribe to — every credit you buy goes into making videos. We've also tested which model to use at each step, so you don't have to.
How are credits used?
A video costs about 10 credits on the Recommended tier, and you see the exact cost before you create. You can also choose the cheaper Economy tier or the more polished Premium tier.
Do unused credits expire?
Plan credits expire at the end of each billing period and are refilled for the next one. Top-up credits never expire. Plan credits are always used first.
What if a video fails review?
We automatically remake it within a cost limit. If it still doesn't pass, you get your credits back along with the draft made so far.
What kinds of videos can I make?
Type any category you like and choose Korean, English or Spanish. Ready-made categories (Home Hacks (Spanish), Home Hacks (English), Life Hacks (Korean), Brand Stories (Korean), My footage) come with length, voice and visual rules already tuned.
Do I have to choose a topic?
No. Give a topic and we'll use it; leave it blank and we'll pick one that fits your category and doesn't repeat your earlier videos.
How are my videos and data handled?
Each user gets a separate workspace and topic history. Only you can see your jobs and videos, and you download the finished MP4s from your dashboard. Card details are handled on Stripe's checkout page and never stored on So Easy Shorts servers.
